If you are taking your children to Cornwall then you will probably spend some time on the beach as well as time at one or more of the many attractions in the county. The nearest beaches are on the south coast, around Looe, although the north coast boasts the more sandy beaches and the greater surf. Although our bungalows are closer to the south coast, the north coast beaches are easily accessible by road for a day trip. As for tourist attractions aimed at families, there are many!! To the right are some links to the websites of just some of the more local attractions. For websites with information about more attractions around Cornwall visit our 'links' page. |

Just five minutes away from Streamside. Brilliant for the kids. Visit early in the week and you can return later in the same week at no extra cost! A real favourite with our children (aged 5 and 3). Plenty of animals to see and feed and plenty of other activities to wear them out! Allow some time to discover three crystals hidden in the grounds, but also allow time for a train ride and a lakeside walk. NATIONAL MARINE AQUARIUM, PLYMOUTH (21 miles, 34km)One of the largest and newest in the country. Well worth a visit, particularly on a wet day. PARENTS GUIDE TO PLYMOUTH (21 miles, 34km) A great website that lists many activities of interest to children in the City of Plymouth. Ideal for ‘rainy day’ planning, unless you stay at ‘Streamside’ and use the games and puzzles! Further afield from 'Streamside' but worth a visit. Lots of great rides and so many things to see that your ticket lasts for 10 days!
